DeKalb detention officer convicted of killing boyfriend

DECATUR - A DeKalb County detention officer has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of her boyfriend during an argument in January. <br>

Letonika Griffin, 25, who had been charged with murder, was found guilty of the lesser charge on Tuesday and was to be sentenced Wednesday by Superior Court Judge Clarence Seeliger. <br>

Meockie Cameron, 30, was one of four people killed in the same apartment complex within a few hours of midnight Jan. 16. Just hours before Cameron was shot, three people were killed in a double murder/suicide in the Doraville complex. <br>

Griffin saw another woman's car parked outside Cameron's apartment and began arguing with him. A friend of Cameron's said Griffin shot him deliberately. Griffin testified that the gun went off accidentally.
