UNDATED - More and more hikers in the north Georgia mountains are using cellphones to summon help if they get in trouble. But, a growing number are using the phones in non-emergency situations - looking for an easy way out of the woods when they get tired, and seeking help from forest rangers and others. <br>

Bob Bolz, manager of Amicalola Falls State Park and head of the state Department of Natural Resources Search and Rescue Team, says he doesn't want to discourage people from calling in an emergency. But, in many instances, he says they need to stop and think before calling. <br>

Bolz says non-emergencies tie up people and equipment needed for real emergencies and other duties.
