Krupp did not practice Monday. Instead, the defenseman visited the doctor for a steroid injection related to spasms. <br>

General manager signed Krupp and veteran Richard Smehlik in an attempt to bolster a defense that allowed the most shots and goals in the NHL last season. <br>

Krupp reported to training camp in great shape and did not have any difficulties in the preseason. But he began experiencing problems with his lower back last week.
