DOUGLASVILLE - A Douglasville man was fatally shot Tuesday night when armed robbers burst into the family's home on Dallas Highway just north of town. <br>

Police are not yet releasing the identity of the man who was killed, but Douglas County Chief Sheriffs Deputy Stan Copeland says he was in his early twenties. Authorities have not identified any suspects and are not saying how many could be involved. <br>

The man's parents also were home when the robbers broke in. The father was shot in the arm and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. <br>
<br>
Copeland says authorities do not believe the house was chosen at random. The couple told police they did not recognize any of the assailants.
