Final roster set for U.S. team for women's World Cup bid

CHICAGO - Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain, Tiffany Roberts and Brianna Scurry were among 18 players chosen Wednesday for the U.S. team that will try to qualify for next year&#39;s World Cup in China.<br> <br> The team will compete in the CONCACAF Women&#39;s Gold Cup from Oct. 27-Nov. 9 in four cities in the United States and Canada.<br> <br> Chastain made the winning penalty kick in the 1999 World Cup final against China. Scurry was the U.S. goalie in that game.<br> <br> Others on the roster are Lorrie Fair, Joy Fawcett, Julie Foudy, Angela Hucles, Kristine Lilly, Shannon MacMillan, Tiffeny Milbrett, Siri Mullinix, Cindy Parlow, Kate Sobrero and Danielle Slaton, who plays for the Carolina Courage.<br> <br> Also chosen were two college players - Cat Reddick of North Carolina, and Aly Wagner of Santa Clara - and high school senior Heather O&#39;Reilly.<br>
