U.S. Supreme Court Justice to help dedicate courthouse

EVANS - A member of the U.S. Supreme Court will give the dedication speech next month at the new Columbia County Courthouse Annex in Evans. <br> <br> Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy has agreed to take part in the ceremony set for 2 p.m. November 20. <br> <br> Augusta Judicial Circuit Chief Superior Court Judge William M. Fleming Junior said, ``We thought it would be nice to have a Supreme Court justice to come down to make the dedication.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Justice Kennedy will make his first public appearance in Columbia County next month at the roughly 69,000-square-foot courthouse in the Evans Government Center. <br> <br> The dedication ceremony is open to the public.
