ALPHARETTA - Students at Milton High School in Alpharetta are frustrated there fewer than 100 parking spaces on campus for the student body of about 2,500.
Some are so desperate, they're paying almost $1,000 a year to park in private lots.
The 80-year-old school is boxed in by the historic downtown district. Dozens of additions and renovations to keep up with the growth of the student body have squeezed out what little land was available for parking.
The school is set to relocate in 2005. But until then, principal Ron Tesch says students will just have to make do.
Wes Williams, a real estate agent who charges 32 students up to $950 a year to park in a church lot he manages cross the street, says he's not forcing students to park there.
``These are kids who think driving isn't just a senior privelege, it's almost a birthright the day you turn 16,'' Williams said.
