Mother of airman who drank himself to death asks for more supervision

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE - The mother of an airman found dead in his dormitory room after drinking himself to death blamed the incident on a lack of supervision. <br> <br> An autopsy showed that Airman 1st Class Eric Paternoster had a 0.468 blood-alcohol level, high enough to kill him. <br> <br> Judy Paternoster said most people at Robins have their own rooms, unlike the old-style barracks from the past. <br> <br> ``There&#39;s no supervision, not even a roommate,&#39;&#39; she told The Macon Telegraph. ``If he had even a roommate, Eric might not have died.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Houston County medical examiner James Whitaker said the death was accidental, but the Air Force Office of Special Investigation is continuing to investigate. <br> <br> County coroner Danny Galpin said Eric Paternoster, 19, had been drinking with friends Wednesday night. A friend found him in his room before 6 a.m. on Oct. 17, alone and not breathing. <br> <br> Paternoster was buried last Friday in Pennsylvania on what would have been his 20th birthday.
