Mississippi State lineman breaks leg in practice

STARKVILLE, MISS - Mississippi State has lost another offensive lineman to injury. <br> <br> Mississippi State offensive tackle Richard Burch is out for the year after breaking his tibia in practice Tuesday. <br> <br> Burch, a freshman from Brandon, went down during a play in practice Tuesday. An ambulance transported him to a nearby hospital. <br> <br> Burch, at 6 feet 5 inches and 290 pounds, has started the last two games for the Bulldogs, one of many young players coach Jackie Sherrill has tried to work in as the Bulldogs search for a winning combination. <br> <br> The Bulldogs are 3-4 and play Kentucky at home this weekend. <br> <br> Mississippi State has struggled to find consistency on its offensive line, in part due to injuries. Earlier this season, starting tackle Michael Allen went down with a leg injury. The Bulldogs also lost guard Chris McNeil for the season with a broken foot. Starting lineman Donald Tucker and Blake Jones have been in and out of the lineup with various injuries.
