McDONOUGH - A Henry County high school football player has returned to classes after a two-day in-school suspension for kissing his girlfriend on the forehead.
James Maurice, 17, was given the suspension Oct. 17 and 18 at Union Grove High School because the student handbook prohibits ``physical contact between students that is deemed in inappropriate.''
Cindy Foster, a spokeswoman for the school board, said Maurice was treated like other students have been treated for the same offense. Maurice was not allowed to play in Union Grove's homecoming game Oct. 18 because of the suspension.
