Teen detained after homemade bombs found in Texas home

ROSENBERG, Texas - A 13-year-old boy was planning to blow up his junior high school, police said Thursday after seizing five small homemade bombs and bomb-making material from his home. <br> <br> The seventh-grader at George Junior High School will remain in custody for at least another 10 days as he undergoes a psychological evaluation, police said. His name was not released. <br> <br> The boy was arrested Wednesday after other students said he had bragged about having bombs at his house. Police found the bombs in his room as well as a bomb-making guide called &#34;The Anarchists Cookbook.&#34; <br> <br> &#34;His intention was to blow up the school,&#34; Sgt. Wyman Hopkins said. <br> <br> He said the bombs were small but could have caused injuries had they gone off near a person. School officials said there had been no specific threats made against the school in Rosenberg, 35 miles southwest of Houston. <br> <br> The boy remained at the Fort Bend County juvenile detention center Thursday on charges of terroristic threat, possession of bomb material and possession of a bomb. <br> <br> The boy&#39;s father said the boy had recently gotten into fights with other students, who the boy claimed were bullying him. <br> <br> &#34;He&#39;s a good boy,&#34; the father said. <br> <br> <br>
