STATESBORO - Terry Williams scored 17 points and Sean Peterson had 16 points and eight assists in Georgia Southern's 100-60 rout of VMI in a Southern Conference game Saturday. <br>

Six players finished in double figures for Georgia Southern (7-5, 1-1). Julius Jenkins scored 14, Kashien Latham had 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Kordel Gibson and Frank Bennett added 11 points each. Bennett also had 11 rebounds. <br>

Jason Conley, who entered the game as the nation's leading scorer with an average of 28.5, led VMI (5-7, 0-2) with a game-high 25 points and seven rebounds. He was the only player on his team in double figures, as the Eagles kept the Keydets 21 points below their season average of 81.4 points per game. <br>

VMI shot just 29 percent in the first half, which ended with a 44-26 Georgia Southern lead. The Keydets finished with a field-goal percentage of just under 33 percent. <br>

``We just swarmed defensively,'' said Eagles coach Jeff Price, whose squad has won four of its last five games.
