GAINESVILLE - Hall County authorities Tuesday afternoon were using search dogs from Lee Arrendale Prison to look for a man who escaped arrest in the area of Fullenwider Road at Candler Road.
Hall County Sheriff's Captain Ed Barfield says 32 year old James Haley escaped arrest prior to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
"We've got a white subject we have a probation warrant on. We located where he was staying and he ran out the door and into the woods," said Barfield.
Haley is described as being white, five feet eight, 150 pounds and wearing black jeans.
"He's a possible suspect in several burglaries," said Barfield.
At one point authorities had requested a Georgia State Patrol helicopter to help with the manhunt.
