Bulldogs ranked 20th in nation

Back in the rankings for the first time in a year, the Georgia Bulldogs know they are just one bad week away from being on the outside again.

That's exactly what happened last season when they entered the poll for one week at Number 25 and then lost four straight games.

It's the first time since 1994 that the Bulldogs have won their first three games in the Southeastern Conference. The 14-2 start is the best for Georgia, which entered The Associated Press college basketball poll Monday at Number 20, since 1931.

The Bulldogs have victories at Kentucky -- their first since 1985 -- and over then-Number 16 Georgetown. They've also beaten Minnesota and Georgia Tech by double digits.

If the Bulldogs hope to stay ranked for longer than a week, they'll have to get past Number 16 Alabama at home on Wednesday and then travel to Number Two Florida on Saturday.
