DENVER - Samsonite Corp. has been removed from the Nasdaq Stock Market because of declining market capitalization, the company said Monday.
Samsonite officials are making arrangements for the stock to be traded on the OTC Bulletin Board, the company said in a written statement.

Samsonite said its capitalization fell below Nasdaq's Smallcap standards as stocks plunged after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The company had asked for more time to restore its capitalization, but Nasdaq officials declined.
Samsonite shares closed unchanged at $1.33 Monday on its final day on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
