Thomas nabs Offensive Rookie of the Year honors

NEW YORK - Chicago&#39;s Anthony Thomas is the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. <br> <br> The ``A-Train&#39;&#39; went from a non-starter to the Bears&#39; featured back and wound up setting a team rookie rushing record. He ran for 1,186 yards despite missing two games with injuries. Thomas helped the Bears roll to a 13-3 mark and the team&#39;s first NFC Central title since 1990. <br> <br> Thomas earned 20 votes in the balloting. San Diego running back LaDanian Tomlinson finished a close second with 16. <br> <br> Tomlinson rolled up 1,236 yards rushing and scored ten touchdowns for the Chargers.
