ATLANTA - The Atlanta Hawks snapped a six-game losing streak Monday afternoon with a 95-91 victory over the Houston Rockets.
Jason Terry scored 19 points to lead the Hawks in the holiday matinee at Philips Arena.
The Hawks salvaged the final game of a five-game homestand despite losing top scorer Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who was ejected after a third-quarter fight with Houston's Kenny Thomas. Thomas also was thrown out of the game.
Nazr Mohammed had 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for Atlanta. Mohammed blocked a layup by Houston's Steve Francis' in the final minute, then tipped in Terry's miss to give Atlanta a four-point lead.
The Hawks held on from there.
Cuttino Mobley had 26 for the Rockets and Francis added 25 points, ten assists and nine rebounds.
