DETROIT - A former NBA player who spent two years with the Atlanta Hawks has died from complications of a stab wound to the stomach.<br>

George Trapp died Monday at Detroit's Sinai Grace Hospital, where he was being treated after being stabbed by his roommate during an argument January 11th. <br>

The 53-year-old Trapp also played four seasons for the Detroit Pistons. Trapp - who was nicknamed ``Instant Heat'' - spent two seasons with the Hawks before the Pistons gave up their 1973 first-round draft pick to get him.
