Delta to Introduce Atlanta - Milan nonstop service

ATLANTA - Delta Air Lines will introduce nonstop service between Atlanta and Milan - Malpensa on April 1, 2002, and add a second nonstop flight between New York John F. Kennedy International and Paris on March 15, 2002. <br>

Air France will offer codeshare service on the JFK - Paris flight, while Alitalia will offer codeshare service on the Atlanta - Milan flights.<br>

"These new flights give our customers significant new access to the European hubs of two of our SkyTeam partners -- Air France at Paris' Charles de Gaulle International Airport and Alitalia at Milan. The hubs offer<br>
travelers hundreds of convenient connections to destinations across Europe, Asia and Africa," said Subodh Karnik, Delta's senior vice president - Network and Revenue Management.<br>

Also this spring, Delta again will again seasonal nonstop service to Barcelona from both its Atlanta and New York gateways. The New York service begins April 1 and will operate daily, while the Atlanta service begins May 1 and will operate four days a week (Wednesday - Saturday eastbound; Thursday -Sunday westbound). Both Barcelona flights feature the Boeing 767-300ER.<br>

The new Atlanta - Milan service will feature the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, while the New York - Paris flight will feature the Boeing 777.
