NEW YORK - Kenny Thomas of the Houston Rockets and Shareef Abdur-Rahim of the Atlanta Hawks were both suspended Tuesday for three games without pay and fined $15,000 by the NBA for a fight in their game Monday.
The two players were jockeying for position in the third quarter when the fight broke out. Thomas was fined for throwing an elbow to the head of Abdur-Rahim, who was disciplined for throwing punches and fighting with Thomas.
Atlanta guard Jason Terry was suspended without pay for one game and fined $7,500 for throwing a punch.
