Some 3,600 pounds of sausage products voluntarily recalled

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - Tennessee-based Jimmy Dean Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 3,600 pounds of frozen pork sausage products. <br> <br> The U.S. Department of Agriculture&#39;s Food and Safety Inspection Service announced Thursday in Washington that the products contain undeclared monosodium glutamate. <br> <br> Some persons who have eaten foods containing MSG have reported adverse reactions, the agency said. <br> <br> The products were distributed to food service establishments in North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, New York, Georgia and Minnesota. <br> <br> The products being recalled are 12-pound bulk cases of ``Jimmy Dean Maple Flavored Pork Sausage Links.&#39;&#39; The cases each bear a production code &#39;&#39;3139-1,&#39;&#39; &#39;&#39;3209-1,&#39;&#39; &#39;&#39;3289-1&#39;&#39; or &#39;&#39;1120-2,&#39;&#39; along with the establishment code ``EST.8080&#39;&#39; inside the USDA seal of inspection. <br> <br> The products were produced last Dec. 13, Dec. 20, Dec. 28 and Jan. 12. <br> <br> Jimmy Dean Foods is based in Newbern, Tenn. <br> <br> The USDA said the company discovered and reported the matter.
