SAVANNAH - Savannah State's record dropped to 2-16 with a 65-55 loss to Jacksonville State.<br>

Jay Heard led the Gamecocks (6-9) with 13 points and Omar Barlett scored 12 and had eight rebounds. <br>

Also scoring 12 was Josh Perry, who hit 5-of-5 field goals and was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. <br>

Levi Williams scored 15 points for Savannah State (2-16). Carlos Small was the only other teammate in double figures with 10. <br>
<br>
Jacksonville State led 32-19 at intermission. The Tigers pulled to within 53-to-51 with 2:51 left in the game, but the Gamecocks held on for the win.
