NEWNAN - The widow of a Coweta County man killed 12 years ago says the arrests of three men will bring the family some peace.
Joyce Rainwater made the comments yesterday to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution after authorities announced the arrests.
The three are charged in the 1990 deaths of 59-year-old Joe Rainwater - a dairy farmer and community leader - and his 27-year-old son, George Rainwater. The two were found shot to death at the home of Joe Rainwater's younger son - Kevin.
Authorities say a new database of prison inmate DNA led police to one of the suspects.
Charged are 46-year-old Michael Denny, his 45-year-old brother, Ricky Lee Denny, and 47-year-old Russell Gregory Brown. A grand jury indicted them on charges of murder and burglary in the 1990 deaths.
The Denny brothers are already serving time in Georgia prisons for unrelated crimes.
