The Eagles (11-7, 5-3 Southern Conference) ended Charleston's five-game winning streak in Charleston. The Cougars fell to 15-4, 5-3.<br>

Charleston trailed 58-57 with 22.5 seconds left on Leighton Bowie's putback. After Peterson hit one-of-two free throws with 15.1 seconds left, Jeff Bolton turned the ball over. <br>

Jenkins was fouled with 4.4 seconds left and hit one-of-two free throws and Bolton's three-pointer at the buzzer missed. Bowie finished with 16 points and nine rebounds.
