DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle baseball team scored six runs in the sixth inning to soar past North Georgia College and State, Sunday at University Ballpark. With the 8-4 win the Eagles completed a three-game sweep of the fifth-ranked Saints, and improved to 3-0 on the season. The Saints fell to 0-3 with the loss.<br>

Paul Matheny reached on an error and later crossed on a Mark Ihlenburg RBI-double to lead off the scoring for the Saints. <br>

The Eagles responded with runs driven in by Clint DeCoux (2-for-3, 1 RBI) and Brad Ethridge (3-for-5, 2 RBIs) to take a 2-1 lead in the third. But the lead was short lived as David Loder hit a sacrifice fly out to left field to score Patrick Hrenko and tie the ball game.<br>

With the scored knotted a two, the Eagles bat round the order in the sixth, sending 11 batters to the plate in that frame. With two outs, the Eagles took advantage of an intentional walk and a hit batsman to load the bases. Mike Liberatore scored on a wild pitch, followed by an RBI -single by Ethridge, which sent Nate Cocolin across the plate. After Adam Smith crossed on a walk, Zak McDonald singled to score Ethridge, while Regan Hagestad hit a two-RBI-single to center field to score Jerod Davis and Juan Rojas.<br>

Junior Nick Murphy (1-0) earned the win for the Eagles claiming six strikeouts in six innings of work. Kevin Hawkins struck out two in three innings to secure his second save in as many outings. Lee Naylor (0-1) suffered the loss for the Saints<br>
