2002 WUSA season to open in Atlanta

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Beat will kick off the 2002 WUSA season April 13 against the Philadelphia Charge. <br> <br> The Beat&#39;s team schedule listed 10 home games in a 21-game regular season. Philadelphia will visit Atlanta twice. <br> <br> The Beat will face U.S. star forward Mia Hamm and the Washington Freedom on April 27. Defending champion Brandi Chastain of the Bay Area CyberRays comes to Atlanta for a June 22 game. <br> <br> San Diego, which cultivated a sort of rivalry with the Beat, will play Atlanta once on Aug. 7.
