NEW YORK - Steel souvenirs made from rubble from the World Trade Center attack are being sold by an out-of-state metals casting company. But some criticize the creations as tasteless and ghoulish.
The International Agile Manufacturing company in Georgia is selling medallions the size of a large belt buckle for $29.95, plus tax and shipping.
The company's Web site says the souvenirs are made with structural steel from the World Trade Center site in New York and that a portion of the profits will be given to charity.
But Michael Cartier, the co-founder of Give Your Voice, a civilian victims' families group, says victims' remains ``could be with the steel in those medallions'' and wonders where anyone would display such an item.
The company, which bought the steel from a company in Newark, New Jersey, has sold about 10,000 of the medallions.
