Police believe ten-year-old accidentally shot teen-ager

KINGSLAND - Authorities say a 13-year-old in southeast Georgia apparently was shot to death by a younger playmate who picked up a loaded hunting rifle that accidentally discharged. <br> <br> A spokeswoman with the Camden County Sheriff&#39;s Office said Tuesday that Richard Will Swain was shot in the head. Officers also found several other loaded firearms in the victim&#39;s home. <br> <br> The mother of the ten-year-old who apparently picked up the rifle says her son ``swears he did not touch the trigger.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> She says her son had spent the night at the victim&#39;s home and that the gun was lying on the dresser in the victim&#39;s bedroom. She says she was driving to pick up her son when the shooting happened about noon Sunday. She says the victim&#39;s father came running out of the house screaming. <br> <br> Authorities have not released the name of the ten-year-old. The mother says her son has no knowledge of firearms and would not have known how to load the gun. <br> <br> The victim&#39;s father was home when the shooting happened, but the boys were alone in the victim&#39;s bedroom. An assistant district attorney George Turner says his office has not reviewed police reports and he could not say whether any charges will be filed.
