Listeria strain found at Inventure Foods plant in Jefferson

JEFFERSON - Inventure Foods has issued a voluntary recall of some of their frozen food products after finding Listeria monocytogenes at its Jefferson facility.

The company's website states that the Fresh Frozen line of frozen vegetables and some of the Jamba At Home smoothie kits were part of the recall. A full list of the items recalled can be found here.

The statement on the company website says the recall is voluntary, and no known illnesses have been linked to the consumption of the products.

"However, Inventure Foods has decided to err on the side of utmost caution and issue a voluntary recall because Listeria monocytogenes was identified within the facility," the company's website states.

The recall was issued Thursday.
