Winners of FCFD's Fire Safety Poster Contest announced

CUMMING - The Forsyth County Fire Department announces the winners and runners up for the department's 4th Annual Fire Safety Poster Contest. <br /> <br /> The three winners are: Diego Martinez, a student at Brookwood Elementary School; Aubrey Chester, a student at Sawnee Elementary School; and Akshur Raghuram, a student at Brookwood Elementary School. All three winners were treated to a pizza party with their class and local firefighters. <br /> <br /> The three runners up are: Gibson McGee, a student at Whitlow Elementary School; <br /> Makayla Peacock, a student at Matt Elementary School; and Lainey Bayush, a student at Matt Elementary School. <br /> <br /> The three winners and three runners up will have the honor of having their artwork displayed in county buildings. The students were also recognized for their poster designs by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners at their May 1 meeting. <br /> <br /> All third grade students in Forsyth County public and private schools, as well as home-schooled students, were encouraged to submit their own original designs and artwork for the poster contest.
