LAWRENCEVILLE - An investigation is underway into the shooting of a teenager outside a Gwinnett County shopping center Saturday night.
Gwinnett Police said the shooting happened about 9:00 p.m. in the parking lot outside Burlington Coat Factory at Discover Mills Mall. Two groups of people became involved in an altercation and shots were fired, according to officers, and that's when the 14-year-old boy was hit in the back.
The teen was taken to Egleston Hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non life threatening.
Police did not identify the teen.
