Sardis 5th-graders exposed to precision measurement at Lanier Tech

GAINESVILLE - Sardis elementary fifth-graders got a crash course in precision measurement "in the real world" this week.

They travelled to the Lanier Tech Motorsports Vehicle Technology Lab where they made measurements of hardware and racing engine parts.

The students went through classroom instruction on the use of various instruments used in in micro-measurements, then made measurements at various work stations in the shops.
