GAINESVILLE - Four people were injured - three seriously - in a mobile home fire on the southside of Gainesville Monday.
Interim Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell says it happened at Ridge Road and Dean Street.
Chief Kimbrell identifies them as Luis Tejeda, 26; Javier Diaz, 31; Wilmer Romero, 25; and, Donald Zelaya, 24.
Two were in critical condition and taken to Grady Hospital in Atlanta; one is in serious condition at the medical center in Gainesville; and the fourth is expected to be treated and released.
Kimbrell says the fire was apparently sparked by an electric space heater that had been placed too close to a chair. He says three of the victims managed to escape the flames themselves but the fourth had to be rescued by firefighters.
