GAINESVILLE - United Way of Hall County kicked off this year's fundraising campaign Friday morning with $490,000 of the $1.8 million goal already in hand, according to 2004 Campaign Chair Emily Bagwell.
Bagwell said a number of Cornerstone Companies ran an early campaign. They are:

For the second year in a row, United Way and Hands on Hall kicked off the the campaign with the second annual "Hands on Hall Days of Caring."
The two-day event includes various remodeling projects as well as sewing gowns for hospice patients, and assisting children with arts and crafts at Elachee's Snake Day.
The title sponsor for "Hands on Hall Days of Caring" is BB&T.
It is designed to promote volunteerism.
