Queen City Parkway bridge work 'half finished'

GAINESVILLE - Work crews are getting ready to switch traffic as the reconstruction of of the Queen City Parkway Bridge in Gainesville continues.

Georgia Department of Transportation District Engineer Todd Long says they are "about half finished" with the project to reconstruct the two bridges over the railroad tracks just south of Industrial Boulevard.

Workers in the next few days expected to close the southbound bridge and upgrade it now that work on the northbound span has been completed.
