UNDATED - Three candidates who finished out of the running in their respective Hall County races last week have announced endorsements in the September 10 runoffs.

Stephen Black, who finished third in the Republican primary for the District 9 State House seat, Wednesday endorsed incumbent Clint Smith, who is in a runoff next week. Smith finished second to Amos Amerson, another incumbent State House member. The district includes parts of Hall, Habersham, and Lumpkin counties.

Wednesday afternoon, Republican incumbent Brenda Branch picked up the endorsement of a former opponent in the Hall County Commission District one race. Tom Bowen endorsed Branch in her runoff against Deborah Lynn.

In addition, Joyce Stevens, who is in a runoff for the Republican nomination for State Senate Post 45, has picked up the endorsement of Maria Strollo, the candidate who finished third in the four-person race. Stevens finished second to Rene' Unterman; the district includes parts of Hall and Gwinnett counties.
