Wharton wins Garrison Memorial 100 at LNS
An old friend to Lanier National Speedway felt right at home Saturday night in the first annual ASA Southeast Series James Garrison Memorial 100. Former LNS track champion Chris Wharton assumed the lead on Lap 28 from Shane Sawyer and then held off Paul Kelly and Kyle Fowler the rest of the way to get the win. Wharton also had to endure 13 cautions, including five in the final 18 laps.
