Harrington returns as Falcons' starting QB
After spending one game as the Number 2 quarterback, Joey Harrington will start again when the 1-6 Atlanta Falcons host 2-5 San Francisco on Sunday. First-year coach Bobby Petrino benched Harrington in favor of Byron Leftwich following a 31-10 home loss to the New York Giants three weeks ago.

Well, this sounds a little strange, but there's no denying it: The Hawks yep, the Hawks are Atlanta's best hope for a playoff team. The Hawks haven't had a winning season or made the playoffs this century. It's about time.

Falcons bolster D-line, sign former Bills draftee Anderson
The Atlanta Falcons today signed defensive lineman Tim Anderson. The 6'3" 304-pound Anderson comes to the Falcons after being released by the Buffalo Bills. The Falcons also waived cornerback Brent Grimes.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed ex-Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jackson to a one-year contract and placed defensive tackle Tony McDaniel on injured reserve.
