DA drops animal cruelty charges against Falcons' Babineaux
A prosecutor has dismissed a felony animal cruelty charge against Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux. Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter said today that his office did an exhaustive investigation after police charged Babineaux with killing his girlfriend's pit bull-mix in February.

Rivers ready to get back to business
Doc Rivers plans to be on the bench tonight for Boston's home game against Denver. The Celtics coach left the team last weekend after learning that his father had passed away. Rivers says he'll also coach Friday's game against Atlanta before returning to Chicago for his father's funeral on Saturday.

Anderson still seeks first NFL sack
So much is right in Jamaal Anderson's life as a professional football player. Instead of taking classes as a senior at Arkansas, Anderson is a 21-year-old millionaire starting at defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons. The sudden influx of cash, however, hasn't kept the NFL's No. 8 overall draft pick from lacking accomplishment. Anderson still seeks his first sack.
