Knowshon Moreno is the star of Georgia's offense.

He won't be starting in the Sugar Bowl, however.

BOISE, Idaho -- Add Georgia Tech again to Fresno State's list of conquests from BCS conferences. Add Jon Tenuta to the list of winless interim coaches this postseason. Clifton Smith rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns, Tom Brandstater threw for a score and ran for another and the Bulldogs beat Georgia Tech 40-28 in the Humanitarian Bowl on Monday.

Buford grad Roper ties Sun Bowl record in Oregon win
EL PASO, Texas -- Justin Roper was never really known as a gunslinger during his days as a quarterback at Buford High. But that could all change soon after the 2006 Buford High grad threw for a record-tying four touchdowns on Monday to help Oregon batter South Florida 56-21 in the Sun Bowl.

Hawaii's improved defense looks to slow Georgia run game

Warriors defensive coordinator Greg McMackin has used some of the comments to fire up his players. He's gone as far as playing an audiotape recording during halftime of a college football analyst who called his squad a ``cupcake defense.''
