The University of North Georgia men's soccer team made a first half penalty kick conversion hold up as the Nighthawks downed Georgia Southwestern, 1-0, Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field.

UNG women's soccer slams Georgia Southwestern, 8-0
The 12th-ranked University of North Georgia women's soccer team made quick work of Georgia Southwestern Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field, scoring the game-winning goal in the opening five minutes of the match on the way to an 8-0 victory.

Frazier, Maten named All-SEC; Bulldogs picked fourth by media
Georgia's J.J. Frazier and Yante Maten were named preseason All-SEC in balloting of selected media, and the Bulldogs were tabbed to finish fourth in the SEC during 2016-17. The results were released Wednesday in association with SEC Media Day in Nashville, Tenn.

UNG women's golf sets new team record to finish LeeAnn Noble Memorial
Although the University of North Georgia women's golf team slipped five spots on the final day of the 2016 LeeAnn Noble Memorial, the Nighthawks still claimed a new 36-hole school record at 305-315-620, beating the previous mark by a stroke as UNG finished eighth in the 13 team field.
