The Greater Atlanta Christian boys basketball team had little trouble beating Providence in a play-in game to advance to the Region 8-AA Tournament.

The Buford girls basketball team reached the Region 8-AA Tournament by defeating the Providence Lady Stars on Monday in a play-in game.

The Region 8-AA Tournament basketball games at Dawson County High School have all been moved to Wednesday and Thursday.

The play-in games are set for both Region 7-AAA and Region 8-AA for Monday.

Region 8-AA owns the two best teams in Class AA in the final rankings. The East Hall boys and Wesleyan girls are both ranked No. 1 and have been most of the season.

Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) will televise action from the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Championship in a taped two-hour program to air Thursday, Feb 16th at 9:00 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 17th at 12:30 p.m.
