Play-in games for 7-AAA, 8-AA, 8-A set

FLOWERY BRANCH - The play-in games are set for both Region 7-AAA and Region 8-AA for Monday.

In Region 7-AAA, Flowery Branch and Fannin County will host the play-in games. In Region 8-AA, Buford and Rabun County will play host to play-in games.

In 7-AAA East at Flowery Branch, the No. 4 seed North Hall girls will play fifth-seed Flowery Branch at 6 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the fourth seeded Flowery Branch boys will play fifth seed North Hall.

The Flowery Branch boys, who finished in a tie with West Hall in the final standings, lost a coin flip for the third seed.

At Fannin County in 7-AAA West, the No. 4 seed Chestatee girls will play fifth-seed Gilmer at 4 p.m. while the fourth-seeded Fannin County boys will play fifth seeded Gilmer at 7:30 p.m.

The winners will advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday at Fannin County against the No. 1 seeds in the tournament.

In the East, the Gainesville girls and Gainesville boys are the top seeds while in the West the Chestatee boys and the Pickens girls are the top seeds.

In Region 8-AA South at Buford, the the No. 4 seed Buford girls will play fifth-seeded Providence Christian at 6 p.m. while the fourth-seeded Greater Atlanta Christain boys will play fifth-seed Providence at 7:30 p.m.

At Rabun County in 8-AA North, the fourth-seed Rabun girls will play fifth-seed Union County at 6 p.m. while the fourth-seeded Rabun boys will play fifth-seeded Dawson County at 7:30 p.m.

The winners will advance to Wednesday's quarterfinals at Dawson County.

In Region 8-A at Athens Christian:

- Athens Academy girls vs. Prince Avenue, 4 p.m.

- Athens Christian boys vs. Towns County, 5:30 p.m.

- Commerce girls vs. Tallulah Falls, 7 p.m.

- Commerce boys vs. Hebron Christian, 8:30 p.m.
