First UI claims down 10 pct. in Ga., up sharply in Gainesville
The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) says first-time claims for unemployment insurance (UI) in Georgia declined 10.2 percent last month compared to April 2012. But Gainesville led the state in the percentage of new claims that were filed.
