Hall offices closing for another furlough day
GAINESVILLE - Hall County offices are closed until Wednesday morning.

In addition to taking Monday off for Memorial Day, county employees will be observing another of those unpaid furlough days on Tuesday. However, the landfill and trash compactor sites are among the public works and public safety operations that will operate regular hours.

Many county services are always available online: residents can renew a vehicle tag or business license, find a new pet, pay taxes, and more at hallcounty.org.

Hall County, like other local governments around the country, has been using furlough days to help cut expenses for a couple of years because of the recession.
