Despite win Richt not happy with Georgia's kickoffs
Georgia got plenty of chances to kick off in a rout of Central Michigan, and coach Mark Richt didn't like what he saw. Freshman Blair Walsh reached the end zone only once, knocked another out of bounds and generally allowed the Chippewas to begin their drives with good field position.

No. 3 Buckeyes survive scare from unheralded Ohio
Beanie Wells didn't play. The Ohio Bobcats sure did. Lightly regarded even in the Mid-American Conference, Ohio put a scare into No. 3 Ohio State before the Buckeyes righted things in the fourth quarter and went on to win 26-14 Saturday.

Bama avoids letdown, beats Tulane
Javier Arenas returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown and No. 13 Alabama held on Saturday for a shaky 20-6 win over Tulane, forced out of New Orleans a week ago by the threat of Hurricane Gustav.

Gators snap 6-game losing streak to Miami
Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow was good early and even better late, enough to help No. 5 Florida snap a six-game losing streak against rival Miami. Tebow threw two touchdown passes, speedster Percy Harvin ran for a score and the Gators used a swarming defensive effort to beat the Hurricanes 26-3 Saturday night at The Swamp.

Arkansas rallies, avoids upset again
Casey Dick's 25-yard pass to Gragg kept Arkansas' last-ditch drive alive, and his 8-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Williams moments later gave the Razorbacks a 28-27 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night. The Hogs trailed 24-6 in the third quarter, but for the second straight week, they rallied to avoid a major upset.
