Tennis: North Hall, Gilmer, Pickens and West Forsyth girls qualify for state (4/16)
The Class AAA second-ranked and undefeated North Hall girls tennis team qualified for the state tournament on Wednesday, as did the Pickens, Gilmer and West Forsyth squads at the Region 7-AAA tournament.

Harper throws 2 TDs in Clemson's spring game
Clemson's Cullen Harper, who led the Atlantic Coast Conference last season in passing efficiency, completed 13 of 18 passes for 142 yards while playing just the first half. Harper's Orange squad defeated the White squad, 16-7, in the Tigers' annual spring football game Saturday.

Yellow Jackets struggle through emotional day
Georgia Tech is still grieving for Michael Hutts, a junior pitcher who was found dead in his apartment on Friday. A few minutes after his Yellow Jackets lost both games of a doubleheader with Miami, baseball coach Danny Hall indicated emotions are still too raw to put perspective on Hutt's death.
