UConn women return to No. 1, Lady Dogs seventh in AP Top 25
After nearly a four-year absence, Connecticut is back at No. 1. The Huskies received 49 of the 50 first-place votes Monday in The Associated Press poll after being ranked second all season. Georgia remained seventh in the latest poll.

Ole Miss, Rhode Island crack AP's Top 25
Last week's three big-time matchups caused plenty of movement in The Associated Press' college basketball poll Monday, except at the top. For the fourth straight week, North Carolina, Memphis and Kansas were the top three teams in the rankings.

Bulls fire Scott Skiles after 9-16 start
The Chicago Bulls were sure this was their season to challenge for the Eastern Conference championship. If they do, it'll be with a new coach. The Bulls fired Scott Skiles on Monday, hoping to shake up a team with one of the worst records in the Eastern Conference.

Clemens plans interview for '60 Minutes'
Roger Clemens posted a video Sunday repeating his denials of the steroids use alleged against him in the Mitchell Report and plans to be interviewed for a future episode of "60 Minutes." The seven-time Cy Young Award winner was accused in the report of using steroids, an allegation made by his former trainer.

Marian Hossa scored on a break-in at 19 seconds of overtime after a defensive mistake, and Ilya Kovalchuk scored his NHL-leading 29th goal in the Atlanta Thrashers' 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Sunday night.

Former Viking Davis, Tennessee Tech fall to UK
One week after knocking off Oregon State on the road former East Hall standout Frank Davis and Tennesse Tech could not pull off the same magic Saturday at Rupp Arena. Davis scored nine points but kentucky's Patrick Patterson posted season-highs with 24 points and 15 rebounds for Kentucky leading the Wilcats to a 69-47 win.

Clinch, Miller lead Jackets past Centenary
Winning at home after 10 games was no big deal for Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt. Lewis Clinch and Maurice Miller each scored 13 points and Anthony Morrow added 11 as Georgia Tech routed Centenary 86-41 Saturday, giving the Yellow Jackets their first home game win of the season.

Hot-shooting Appalachian shocks Arkansas
Even in its home state, Arkansas can't win on the road. Freshman Donald Sims scored 24 points off the bench Saturday including 10 in a row in the first half as Appalachian State defeated Arkansas 74-67 on a neutral court ringed with red-clad Razorbacks fans.
