The Gainesville girls basketball team won its second Region 8B-AAA game in as many nights with a 51-19 rout of Lanier Tuesday night at home.

Class AA No. 6 Fannin County used a 20-10 fourth to pull away for a 58-46 Region 8A-AA win over Dawson County Tuesday night.

Flowery Branch snapped a three-game losing streak and picked up their first Region 8-AAAA win Tuesday night with a 53-46 win over Habersham Central.
