By Austin Eller News Director

The Hall County Sheriff's Office arrested a Buford man Tuesday after he was allegedly found in possession of multiple images of child pornography.

According to a press release from the agency, Seth Daniel Marx, 20, was charged with 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He remained in the Hall County Jail without bond as of Wednesday morning.

The agency said the initial investigation began in February after they received a cyber tip. That investigation reportedly determined Marx possessed a video depicting young children being sexually assaulted. Marx allegedly shared that video to an instant messaging platform.

"The children depicted in that video are believed to be pre-schoolers," B.J. Williams, public information officer with the sheriff's office said.

Marx's phone was seized as part of the investigation and investigators found nine additional videos containing inappropriate images of children.

The crimes occurred at Marx's home on Sweetwater Trail in Buford.

Investigators do not believe any of the victims are from the local area.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted with the investigation.
